what are my motivations (for those therapists)
Erickson stated,
"When you are working hynotically with a patient, your orientation should centre around the patient's needs. Whenever you try to maximized your own ego through a patent you start losing ground. That is why we are so much opposed to the teaching of stage hypnosis techniques, because stage hypnotists are oriented about themselves as operators, not about their subjects. In medical and dental hypnosis, you need to orient everything about patient. It is the patient who is the important person."
